We are seeking a Producer Manager - Individual & Family Plans to be responsible for:
The sales growth of the commercial Individual and Family products
Managing the producer sales channel and private and public exchange channels in their assigned market(s).
Recruitment of new Producers to sell commercial Individual products
Developing relationships with assigned General Agencies/Producers to assist them in achieving their sales goals
Training and monitoring agents
Providing needed support in areas such as contracting, marketing and commissions
Building relationships with private exchanges to grow market share
Working closely with Commercial Group Sales to increase growth, and assist local market management in strategy development
Development of enrollment projections, predicting competitive environment, shifting strategies to meet projections.
Recruitment, assessing, training and managing GAs/Producers.
Creating and maintaining a team atmosphere in a fast paced environment.
Balancing Health Plan guidelines and policies with the demands and expectations of GA/Producer.
Establish production efficiencies in cooperation with the other functional areas to minimize duplication of effort and maximize customer responsiveness.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Accountable for developing and implementing new sales and customer retention strategies to achieve new sales goals by targeted lines of business.
Establish relationships with key producer and general agent partners in the assigned market, educate producers on PHP compelling value proposition, and understand their member relationships and potential fit within PHP's offering.
Effectively communicate plan benefits, network, and value adds, internally and externally. Serve as a subject matter expert for product portfolio including having a deep understanding of the Individual and Family products offered by competitors.
Work closely with sales operations to leverage quantitative skills for market analyses and detailed sales tracking.
Develop compliant producer marketing strategies and materials.
Actively participate in the development and implementation of GA/Producer trainings.
Meet or exceed sales & enrollment goals within an assigned territory via outreach & sales activities.
Work on development and on-going overview of territory Marketing Plans with GAs/Producers.
Assist in business development strategies.
Generate regular reports on each GA and or Independent Producer to determine Corrective Action Plan if needed or relationship ended.
Conduct presentations to large and small groups.
Become a trusted advisor in the community via cultivation of grassroots and other local events.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree -OR- a combination of equivalent education/experience
5 years' experience in health insurance sales
Current valid state of Oregon and state of Washington health insurance licenses required, or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire
Valid driver's license
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
5 years' experience working with producers
5 years local market experience, including established producer relationships
