Providence Health & Services Process Improvement Consultant in Vancouver, Washington
Providence is calling a Process Improvement Consultant to the Strategic Management Services Team.
There is flexibility to work out of the Providence Office Park in Portland, OR or the satellite office in Vancouver, WA. This is a full time opportunity with a flexible schedule.
In this position, you will:
Provide leadership for the Providence Health System of Oregon using LEAN methodology to identify and implement breakthrough strategies across institutional and functional boundaries that result in significant and documented improvement in healthcare and service delivery.
Take the lead in the development of measurement strategies, manage reporting systems, auditing processes, and will provide consulting assistance when appropriate.
Teach process improvement tools (CAP, WorkOut, LEAN, Six Sigma, etc.) to other stakeholders.
The Strategic Management Services division supports the mission and vision of Providence Oregon by leading and/or assisting in development of strategic plans, annual operating plans, business plans, market and environmental assessments, facilitating project management governance from the business-decision stage to final implementation and benefits gathering, deployment of effective process improvement, change management strategies and executes other strategic and ad hoc projects throughout the state of Oregon.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, healthcare administration/management, industrial engineering or related field -and- 3 years of direct experience in process/quality improvement
10 years of related work experience and/or military service will be considered in lieu of a degree
Six Sigma and/or LEAN certification
3 years of work experience in process/quality improvement
Completion of 1 or more Six Sigma projects
Experience in managing projects with multiple project teams, product development lifecycle, or quality lifecycle.
Advanced knowledge of DMAIC, Lean, CAP and WorkOut
Ability to properly plan and execute on project deliverables using various methodologies
Proven ability to lead a project team to successful completion as evidence by measurable and sustained process improvement and timely completion
Participation in 1 or more diverse and complex projects
Ability to use statistical process control graphing, project management application programs adopted by the department and the ability to understand data output of statistical and simulation programs adopted by the department
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Certification in health care quality or Project management
3 years of work experience in process/quality improvement in a healthcare setting
