This position is a full-time (1.0FTE) position offering a compelling benefits package on date of hire and is located at our Home Services Building in Portland, OR.

In this position, you will:
Provide first line communication with a variety of customers, referral sources, and clinicians to facilitate ordering and delivery of home medical equipment (HME) products, supplies and services
Communicate, educate and advise patients and clinicians on a broad portfolio of HME products, supplies and services
Recommend medically appropriate, cost-effective products, supplies or services to meet individual patient requirements
Provide basic technical support for HME products and supplies
Obtain minimum data sets from referral sources required to process HME orders
Complete order entry in transaction system for delivery of HME orders
Perform insurance eligibility and benefit verification, and obtain insurance authorization required for HME reimbursement
Perform medical necessity evaluation of HME orders including interpretation of diagnosis, physician record, and payer medical policy
Gather all medical documentation required for medical necessity interpretation
This position concentrates in one or more home medical equipment specialties which may include, Core Equipment, Respiratory Services, Diabetic Supply Services, Nutrition Services, Order Qualification, HME Storefront, Customer Care Representative, High Value Patient Accounts, Special Provider Liaison, Claims and Quality Account Management, and HME Network Reimbursement.

Required qualifications for this position include:
- One (1) year of customer service experience
Preferred qualifications for this position includes:
Associate's Degree -or- Bachelor's Degree
Medical Terminology and Medical Coding certification
Two (2) years of Customer service experience
One (1) year of experience in a patient-facing healthcare environment or insurance registration or insurance billing
